Michael Cooper
Michael Cooper is an Australian developer and mentor. He has lived on Koh Phangan for years, working online with clients around the world. He came to Samata through two extremes. One was the finance world — capital, markets, the accumulation of wealth. The other was its opposite: a stripped-back, near-monastic simplicity. Most people choose a side. Tamasart “Bay” Phatarnbat
Tamasart Phatarnbat — known to everyone as Bay — is Samata’s Thai co-founder, and the ground the enterprise stands on. Since 2015 he has run Siam Ez, a social enterprise built to help Thai people find work on equal terms, with particular focus on the unemployed and the disadvantaged.ตามศาสตร์ ภัทรนาบาท หรือที่ทุกคนเรียกว่า เบย์ คือผู้ร่วมก่อตั้งชาวไทยของสมตะ และเป็นรากฐานที่วิสาหกิจนี้ตั้งอยู่ ตั้งแต่ปี 2015 เขาได้บริหาร Siam Ez วิสาหกิจเพื่อสังคมที่สร้างขึ้นเพื่อช่วยให้คนไทยได้งานทำอย่างเท่าเทียม โดยให้ความสำคัญเป็นพิเศษกับผู้ว่างงานและผู้ด้อยโอกาส
His path to it was not a straight line. From there came years of management — an English-language camp, a hotel, close protection — and a long career in Thailand’s automotive industry.
