The Samata Foundation is where part of what the business makes returns to Thailand — to community, environment and education. It isn't a side project or a marketing gesture — it's built into the structure. Samata is a social enterprise, and most of its profit is bound to purpose by law. Most foundations have to raise money before they can give it. This one doesn't. The Foundation is self-funded, but not closed. Donations, contributions, partnerships and grants are welcome — from individuals, organisations and government.
